Isaiah 26:13-14

O Lord, our God, other masters besides You have ruled over us, but we will acknowledge and mention Your name only. They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; they are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore, you have visited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of their supremacy] to perish.

The word powerless indicates and/or is defined as without ability, influence, or power. Similar words: impotent, helpless, without power, ineffectual, inadequate, and ineffective to name a few but not limited to.

The Word of God specifically indicates that past problems, issues, situations, habits, vices, crisis, circumstances, etc. can no longer harm you – they are powerless against you, because God has visited your life. It does not matter the tyranny the former things brought into your life, nor does it matter how long it was in or effecting your life – today it is powerless against you. However, this is actualized in your life by faith in God’s Word – do you believe what He has said and done is true!

The things of your past are powerless against your future unless you choose to give life to them in your today.

Ghost can be defined as an entity that seems to exist but does not. It can be something that has died but only lives in memory. Whatever ruled over you yesterday has no power over you today. Christ has set you free! Receive that freedom by confessing your trust in His unfailing love for you and in you. The images of your past are no match against the power of God’s Word that is at work in you today. Going backward is not an option for you anymore, so take the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, and let it begin demolition on every thought and imagination that does not agree with God's plan for your life.

The ghost are powerless, but you are not, Jesus said; Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

So go ahead live life to its fullest, enjoy the blessing of freedom and celebrate Gods victory in you today!

2 Corinthians 10:4-6
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds ;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
